Can a ResPax product be discounted manually through the Sale Summary on the POS, or is there a specific method required?  
No, promo codes are the only option to discount ResPax products. If you apply a discount through the Sale Summary on the POS, the correct price will not be reflected in ResPax.

Can you manually change a price or apply a discount in the POS if an incorrect price is being charged for an item? For example, if older stock was not re-stickered when new stock arrived at a higher price point.  
Yes, you can manually adjust the price or apply a discount in the POS by clicking on the item and choosing either "Discount" or "Rate" to enter the correct amount.

If multiple departments or registers sell the same stock items but are invoiced separately, will sales be allocated to the respective department’s revenue and deducted from their specific stock levels? Or is stock treated as a shared pool regardless of where the sale occurs?  
The system is set up to ensure that Café and Retail operate as separate 'shops', allowing sales to be correctly allocated to their respective revenue streams and stock levels.

For 10% entry vouchers, we currently select a customer to track which agents are involved. Will this still be the case in HIOPOS, or will we just enter a promo code in the booking and manually collate vouchers to pay commissions to agents?  
Pending – HIOPOS will potentially import these into the system in the future. For now, add the Promo Code to the sale and track vouchers manually.

Promocodes - the discount will only be applied to the ResPax elements of a transaction, not the transaction as a whole?  
Yes, the discount will apply only to the ResPax elements of the transaction, not the full transaction.

POS - Part payments what if someone wants to pay part of the transaction part by cash? 
 Yes, mixed payments are accepted, allowing part of the transaction to be paid in cash and the rest with another payment method.

When searching for stock, can you search by barcode or supplier code, as well as by description?  
Yes, stock can be searched using barcode and supplier code, but descriptions are no longer used.

Selling experiences through the POS like Swims or Breaky you can only book for that current day not any other day? Is correct that you can't collect any client data or make notes, so if needing these details for a booking or to book on another day you would manually create the booking as we currently do?  
Yes, you can take a booking for a future date. However, there will be a second step in the process where you need to access the relevant RBE booking and manually enter the Pax Name, Phone Number, and other details. We will work with ResPax to develop a specification that allows tours with this requirement to appear as mandatory fields on the ResPax-HioPOS booking screen.

Does HioPOS have help documents that we can access and possibly print if required?  
Yes, HIOPOS provides user manuals for both HIOPOS and HIOFFICE. Kim has already sent both manuals for your reference.

Is HIOPOS a simple system to use? 
Yes, HIOPOS is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive. The system offers a clean interface and straightforward navigation, making it easy for staff to learn and use. It’s been developed with efficiency in mind, so tasks like processing transactions, managing inventory, and switching users are quick and easy to execute. While it may take a short time to get familiar with all its features, many users find the learning curve minimal, especially with the support and training available.

Will Hike still be accessible after the change over?  
Hike will remain available for some time after the installation of HIOPOS. However, we will be reducing the number of registers to just one per site. While we have not yet determined the exact timeframe for when Hike will no longer be available, we will ensure you have enough time to download any reports or data you may need before that happens.  
Update: The subscription has now been reduced to one per site, but we will continue to have access to Hike until the end of July. During this time, please start considering what reports and information you may need from Hike before access is discontinued. Let us know if you need any assistance.

Will HIOPOS improve the "switch user" process? 
Yes, HIOPOS will have an improved "switch user" function. We’ve been advised that logging in will be instant. To make the login process even quicker, HIOPOS recommends checking in at the start of your shift. This will display only the staff members scheduled for that day, rather than showing a full list of all users, further streamlining the user-switching process.

Can we create a communication channel for Front Office Team Leaders across different parks, perhaps through Teams? 
Yes, this is definitely achievable. We can set up a dedicated communication channel for Front Office Team Leaders across all parks using Microsoft Teams. This would make it easier for everyone to share ideas and discuss improvements together.

Are variants used instead of individual products, for example, when considering different sizes or colours? 
Yes, variants are used instead of creating individual products for different sizes, colours, or other attributes. This allows you to manage products more efficiently by grouping them together under one main product listing. For example, if you sell a shirt in multiple sizes and colours, rather than creating separate products for each combination, you can create a single product with size and colour variants. This simplifies inventory management and reduces clutter. Each variant can have its own price, SKU, and stock level, allowing for greater flexibility without having to manage numerous individual listings.

Can we have a different price for the same product at each site? 
Yes, you can set different prices for the same product at each site. This feature allows for pricing flexibility based on location. You can adjust the price for each site individually while keeping the product consistent across all locations, making it easier to manage pricing at the site level.

Can I access the HIOPOS back office from anywhere? 
Yes, if your user level has the appropriate security access, you can access the HIOPOS back office from anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection. The system is cloud-based, which means you can log in securely from any device, whether it's a computer, tablet, or smartphone. This gives you the flexibility to manage your business remotely, monitor performance, and make adjustments as needed, even when you're not on-site.

Do the ticketing and POS screens look the same? 
No, the ticketing side is a plugin of ResPax Online. The layout will resemble our customer-facing website, but with less information required, making it streamlined for ticketing purposes. You will also have access to the POS system allowing you to process a Retail / F&B sale with a park ticket in a single transaction.
