Using a Shared Mailbox on a Mobile Device
If you have access to a shared mailbox, you can view and manage it using the Outlook app for iOS or Android.
📱 How to Add a Shared Mailbox in Outlook Mobile
Open Outlook and sign in with your primary account (the one that has permission to access the shared mailbox).
Tap the house icon (top-left corner of the screen) to open the navigation menu.
Tap “Add Account”, then select “Add a Shared Mailbox.”
If prompted, choose the primary account that has access to the shared mailbox.
Enter the shared mailbox email address.
Once setup is complete, the shared mailbox will appear in your list of accounts within Outlook Mobile.
🗑️ How to Remove a Shared Mailbox
Go to Settings in the Outlook app.
Tap Accounts, then select the shared mailbox.
Choose “Delete Account” to remove it from your device.
Note: You must have the correct permissions to access the shared mailbox. If you don’t see the option or the mailbox doesn’t appear, contact your IT administrator to confirm access rights.Related Articles
